From the FOUNDER
I’ve been an architect my entire life, from designing horse stables as a girl and selling childhood friends' parents on home improvement, to leading the design of world class resorts and cutting edge prefabricated green buildings, selling energy and building software and founding my own boutique architecture firm.
I design intuitively and am deeply passionate about improving energy, flow and function through architecture to thrive in the places we live and work.
The spaces we inhabit have never been more important. With a resurgence of “staying in,” the home is truly everyone’s habitat and sanctuary. Space speaks to me and people speak to me and I feel I am meant to bring people together in spaces to create the best environment possible.
I love guiding clients to realize their own goals and dreams. As a thoughtful problem solver and design coach, I will help create the optimal environment so you can live your best life. Bringing the site, beings and space in harmony, I combine the dream and vision with the reality, resulting in modern, glamorous spaces to inspire, live, work and thrive.

Courtenay intuitively knows how to create unique spaces and has a special talent for creative design solutions. Striving for beauty, balance and integrity in all projects big or small, she is your guide to living, working and thriving in style. A California Licensed Architect with a degree from California Polytechnic State University SLO, she has 20 years of experience on varied projects including high-end residences, commercial and retail spaces, luxury resorts and homes and cutting-edge, prefabricated and sustainable buildings.

“It was wonderful working with Courtenay on the remodel of our weekend cabin in Big Sur. She took the time to understand our aesthetic and the things that were most important to us - keeping the rustic feel while creating an inviting, comfortable, and even ‘luxurious’ weekend getaway that still felt authentic to the bohemian Big Sur vibe. Even though we were rebuilding almost 90% of the structure, we wanted to stay true to the cabin's historic, hand-built feel. By repurposing some of the original materials, like original redwood siding and beams, and even sourcing some creative touches straight from the property - for example, a beautiful madrone tree trunk for our railing - the final rebuild exceeded our expectations and felt even more ‘us’ that we could have designed ourselves.
