REIMAGINED LARKSPUR CLASSIC

Vibrant color and dynamic open floor plan breathe new life into an inherited home full of love

The lovely clients inherited a property that was in the family for three generations. Playing homage to the original mid century modern design that was lost in a 1980’s remodel, we brought back an open floor plan and restored the clean and classic design details.

We also reoriented and opened up the plan to provide seamless flow between the communal spaces, bring in natural light and take advantage of the stunning views of Mt Tam.

For this family, which includes an incredible chef, the kitchen is truly the heart of the home.

From the Owner -

“Courtenay was a pleasure to work with. She is a great partner with a great eye. I appreciate her ability to visualize the potential of a space. She gave us several ideas for each part of the house, and we collaborated on a final design that we love and that feels natural to the space. Courtenay took our vision and desires, added to them, and came up with a design that maximized our surroundings, restored some of the original aesthetic of the house, and brought a modern feel to it — all at the same time. It's a perfect blend of old and new. Her knowledge of current trends, timeless design and ability to maximize the space and its surroundings was invaluable.”
